If you’re not already a fan of the Mazda CX series, the upcoming innovations of the 2017 CX-9 are likely to convert you. If you are already a fan, these improvements are sure to make you bubble over with anticipation. While there will be dozens of improvements — including many that have yet to be made public — there are a few we’re especially excited about. Here are the three most exciting updates expected for the 2017 Mazda CX-9.
1. A Fully Revamped Design
The CX-9 series saw its last design overhaul back in 2012, and those improvements have continued to entice customers over the last few years. The 2017 model, however, is going back to the drawing board to give customers dozens of new improvements. The design overhaul includes every major facet of the CX-9, including the car’s interior and exterior.
The chassis and other external materials are being made of lightweight yet durable materials. The exterior design itself will simultaneously build on and streamline the core aesthetics of the previous model. It’s also known that the interior is receiving a major re-design, but the specifics and optional features have yet to be released to the public. Despite that, consumers in the know expect that the interior of the CX-9 will be nothing short of impressive. (more…)

Drivers in Arlington, Texas have a lot to deal with. On top of being a tie for the sixth worst city for traffic in the United States, with commuters spending an average of 48 hours in traffic a year and wasting 38 gallons of gas, there is also the weather to contend with. Arlington is in Tornado Alley, so dealing with flash floods, high winds, and sudden thunderstorms comes with the territory.
In the end, Arlington drivers need vehicles that offer good fuel economy and details like climate control that will help with the Arlington climate. Here are some top picks from Mazda:
If you are a heavy commuter, the Mazda3 could be a perfect fit. It is one of the most affordable small cars according to U.S. News and World Report and it is one of the most fuel-efficient. The Mazda can get up to 40 mpg on the highway on a 2.0-liter, 150-horsepower engine. It is also a winner on cost. The MSRP on this compact car is less than $17,000 for a 4-door model and just under $19,000 for a 5-door. The Mazda is available with a moon roof and offers dual-zone climate control, with a pollen filter. (more…)

2016 Mazda6 Exterior Styling
The Mazda6 already looked so good that it hardly needed any updates for the 2016 model. Some optional upgrades include enhancements to the already stylish front grille, LED headlights, and tail lights that more closely match with the lights up front. Wheels are 17 or 19-inches, depending on trim level. The 19-inch wheels are aluminum alloy.

Just because you’re shopping for an economy car doesn’t mean all that matters is fuel economy and price; you still want a car that’s stylish and fun to drive. That’s where the 2015 Mazda3 crushes its closest competitors, the Honda Civic and VW Golf. The snappy 184 horsepower engine just sips at the gas tank, getting an EPA-estimated 40 mpg combined. The Mazda3 is available in two body styles, a 4-door sedan (base MSRP $16,945), and a 5-door hatchback (base MSRP $18,945), and both are packed with top of the line technology.

The Mazda CX-5 was first introduced to the extremely competitive market of small-sized crossover SUVs four years ago. It did not take long to make its mark in the category. In fact, it has quickly become a favorite among drivers due to its smart design and versatility. The CX-5 is excellent for both short and long trips. It can haul up to 2000 pounds, and has proven fuel efficiency with a combined EPA est. mpg of 30. The 2016 model year will bring even more exciting things for this newcomer. The redesign of the CX-5 for the new model year brings updates and restyling that will keep this crossover in the category as one of the best.
New Engine in 2016 CX-5
New for the 2016 model year is a new engine and a six-speed manual transmission on its Sport edition. The 155-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine gives the car power to get the job done while the new six-speed manual transmission gives it more get up and go. If you want to upgrade, you will enjoy the 184-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the Touring and Grand Touring models. These come with six-speed automatic transmissions.
Modified Body Style
In addition to the redesigned engine, the body style itself is modified. The new CX-5 is expressive. Big wheel arches, a rising window line, and new colors make the car appear lower to the ground and sportier than the versions of the past four years. In addition, the grille is reshaped into a trapezoidal design and the headlights now connect to the grille with bright bars of LED lighting.

Sometimes the hatchback gets a bad rap, likely due to the ugly American models of the 1970s. But the design has always been popular in Europe and is experiencing an American revival, thanks to stylish new entries such as the Mazda 3 hatchback. If you love the sleek design of a sporty sedan with the versatility of a wagon, you’ll love the Mazda 3.
Bold European Design
The Mazda 3’s exterior body styling features shapes and details reminiscent of a German luxury sedan. Its sculpted side panels, curved headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, and contoured profile lend it an elegance not found in its closest competitors in its class, such as the Volkswagen Golf, Kia Forte5, and the Hyundai Elantra.
Ranked Number One
The 2015 Mazda 3 is ranked number one in compact cars by Car and Driver, edging out the famously popular Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. The Mazda3 hatchback, decked out in its Grand Touring edition, earned rave reviews for comfort and quiet cabin interior on long highway trips, with plenty of space to seat five adults comfortably. With over 20 cubic feet of cargo space, you’ll have plenty of room for luggage and equipment.
